Since 1982, The Preservation Trust of Vermont has recognized outstanding contributions in the field of historic preservation. Awards are presented to the individuals and organizations who have made special contributions in  preserving Vermont's historic architecture. The awards will be presented at the Preservation Trust's Annual Meeting in November at the Equinox Hotel, Manchester, Vermont.

Eligibility
Volunteers, professionals, municipalities, non-profit organizations, businesses and corporations, state agencies,  building contractors, labor unions, media, schools and colleges, and governmental officials are examples of those who are eligible for the awards.

Eligible activities include: preservation or adaptive use of an historic property; educational and public information materials and programs; building trades and professional training; programming at historic properties; financial support; and special encouragement and leadership in the preservation field. Other exemplary activities are also eligible.

How to Submit Nominations
Any individual or organization may submit a nomination for a Preservation Award. Please fill out the Nomination Form and submit it along with a brief typed statement (no more than 500 words) explaining what the nominee has accomplished and why it should be recognized. You should also include other supporting materials such as photographs and newspaper clippings. If you want any materials returned, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

October 12: Deadline for nominations
Week of October 24: Jury review of nominations
October 31: Notification of award recipients
November 10: Presentation of awards at the Preservation Trust of Vermont's Annual Meeting

*All nominations must be postmarked on or before Wednesday, October 12.
